Zion holds six values that shape who we are and what we do. They provide the framework that enables us to move beyond being just a gathering of Jesus followers into a missional movement, changing the world for Jesus.
Jesus' words shape our Core Values:
Unconditional Love- "Love is our first priority."
"Love God with all your heart, soul, and mind..and love others as yourself." Matthew 22:37-40
Deep Relationships- "Circles are better than rows."
"Love as I have loved you...By this everyone will know you are my disciples, if you love one another." John 13:34-35
Intentional Discipleship- "Growing disciples grow disciples."
"Go make disciples." Matthew 28:19
Selfless Service- "Contributing beats consuming."
"...whoever would be great among you must be your servant." Mark 10:43
Everyday Missions- "Found people find people."
"As the father has sent me, even so I am sending you." John 20:21
Generous Giving- "You can't out give God."
“...Store up for yourselves treasures in heaven...” Matthew 6:19-21
We ask followers of Jesus to live out these Core Values by making a commitment to:
Develop spiritual habits to fuel their love for God and others.
Join a Life Group to experience authentic community with others.
Commit to a discipling relationship to help someone learn to follow Jesus.
Serve on a Ministry Team to use their gifts to serve the church family.
Go on mission with God daily to actively look for ways to share the gospel with others.
Live a life of generosity to put into practice what the Scriptures teach about giving.
