Kids/PreTeen Camp

July 14, 2019 to July 19, 2019

All Day

Category: Camp | Coordinator: Trent Kirkland

When you play a video game, a power-up makes you stronger. If you eat a mushroom, you get bigger. If you catch a bouncing star, you get to be invincible—for a few seconds, anyway. If your go-kart hits a question block, then suddenly you get a turtle shell that you can fling at the other racers, or maybe you get a banana peel to drop on the track. Maybe if you find the right hidden item, you could even earn an extra life.

Power-ups make games more fun. They give you a better chance to win. They help you raise your game.

Life is kind of like that, too. We might not be able to jump up and hit a block to get a star of invincibility, but there IS a way we can power up, too. There’s a way we can raise our game. And news flash: it’s actually more powerful than ANY power-up you could find in a game. THAT’s what Power Up is all about.

This will be the best week of the summer with your friends as you join in the fun of learning new things! You will take the time to choose from different activities such as orienteering, basic sports skills, basic dance skills, art, first aid and more!!!!

There will be plenty of games to play, music to sing, great food to eat and a swimming pool to jump in. A shaving cream fight, skit night and a movie night are all great memory makers. Invite your friends to join you!
