Building Usage Policies and Guidelines

Zion Baptist Church
Clarion, Pennsylvania

The facilities and equipment of Zion Baptist Church exist for the primary purpose of being used by its members through its organizations and ministries. Utilizing and sharing our facilities is a ministry of Zion Baptist Church. Common courtesy and adherence to church regulations are required.

Regularly scheduled church meetings and activities of Zion Baptist Church will have first priority in the use of its facilities. Other church-related meetings and functions would have second priority. Groups outside the church may use the facilities when they are not already scheduled for use by some church function.

Usage by Church Members

A Master Calendar Request form must be completed and submitted to the Church Office to reserve a portion of the building for your use 30 days in advance. The request will be evaluated for appropriateness of use and availability of space. If approved, the reservation will be placed in the master church schedule. Activities and programs are limited to the space and equipment that have been assigned. A meeting with the Church Scheduler is required 30 days in advance of the date of any event or activity in which any sound support (even one microphone) or video support is being requested. A custodial fee of $125 will be charged to all groups who request to use the worship center. A $75 technician fee will be charged for the use of audio/visual equipment in the worship center.

Church members wishing to use the facility after normal office hours will be issued a key one week prior to the event. The making of duplicate keys or use by any unauthorized persons is prohibited. The building must be locked and secured after each use. All persons must be out of the church building by 11 p.m.

Usage by Outside Groups

Those who are not members of Zion Baptist Church may make donations for the use of church facilities. A custodial fee of $125 will be charged to all outside groups. A $75 technician fee will be charged for the use of audio/visual equipment. The church scheduler will coordinate all furniture and equipment needs.

A Certificate of Insurance/Damage Waiver must be provided by all outside groups to Zion Baptist Church for the purpose of covering liability and property damage or accidents that might occur on church property.

Upon permission, the kitchen area and equipment may be used by caterers to provide meal services.
